After elevensies … on the trail to lunchtime!

Well, elevensies snack is over and it’s time to get back on the trail.

Looks worse than it was, I guess. The nice thing is, everybody makes it to the bottom one way or another.

We'll go next.
We’ll go next.

Good direction is important. As we bunch up in the little canyon below, I’ll check the road ahead. Hmmmm.

This is the only way out!
This is the only way out!

While it went smooth … only two vehicles started to tip over (one of them was the one we were in), no-one actually tumbled back down to the bottom. By the time we were done, quite a crew gathered at the top to watch (from a couple of tour companies that brought people thru).

Don't look back!
Don’t look back!

Great adventure indeed! Crawling on a little further, we come to the “hot tubs.”

This one is the biggie ...
This one is the biggie … Mickey’s Hot Tub.

It rained yesterday, and this one may be a little deep. The possibility of getting in and out of this without tipping over is slim … and not everyone wants to be underwater with a 4×4 on top of them. Let’s look at the little hot tub.

Maybe this isn't as deep ...

Yay – they made it. Let’s all go through!

Fearless leader ...

Our turn ... looks steep coming out!

Next up is the tip-over challenge (no sweat) and the escalator.  The escalator is our undoing.

The best we could do ... oh well.

We couldn’t get over … and it’s time for late lunch anyway. Bon appetit.

Finally some shade ...

The way out, below Lion’s Back was rocky to the max. Bumps and jars all the way – no pics. We slipped and slid to the exit, and aired up. Ahhh … an absolutely GREAT ride!

  1. ive seen video on people going in and out of the big hot tub. pretty cool…and crazy. lol looks like it was a great time to be had.

    1. These kids (young and old) keep building up their trucks to handle bigger and more difficult challenges. It’s fun just to ride along with them.
