Finding a little western town in a 60 mile long glacial valley means it’s time to demount and “kick back.” Tortuga heartily approves!
But first … a bit of morning sustenance …
… and then listen to the water gushing down the sluice box … next to a full bowl that awaits any wandering dogs.
I suppose this is the perfect place to sit and see what happens.
Or, I could go over there to watch the river beneath …
… or settle into a good read next to the saddle-seats. Too many choices.
Later on, when the traffic blooms, we amble the boardwalk, sample the shops, and chat with the natives.
Another beautiful day in the neighborhood.
What a great find. Those ice creams looked mouthwateringly delicious especially brandished in front of our noses.
Yum … lemon curd and huckleberry… there goes the diet!!
Ah well, you can always make a fresh start tomorrow?
