Tortuga awakens in the SF fog …
… and it looks like we get to work in the City again. But lets stroll in Golden Gate Park first to adjust ourselves.
Follow the paths, cross the streams, and find a lakeside site … have a little picnic lunch … and we’ll get back into “city mode” slowly!
Ahhh. Mallard Lake … named because of the locals, I assume. They think they’re going to get fed.
Golden Gate Park is beautiful. On this weekday afternoon the park is only lightly used. Planted and cultivated in the mid 1800’s, the park is a marvel of lakes, paths and gardens. Check out Wiki for a great history of this marvel. Today we’re just walking in a tiny part of it’s 3-mile length.
Even in the city, simple living is possible.
Your excellent photographs show a remarkable green space in such a big city, thanks for the tour.
