Traveling Tortuga’s home is on his back. Therefore everyplace is home.

Yet … there is a special warmth when returning to familiar surroundings … comfortable and cozy places that are full of pleasant memories.

Winter is fast fading, and we don’t want it to pass us by. So, after our work trip down south, we scurry to the area we call “down home”, the Pacific Northwest.

As the song says, “it’s a special way of life.”

Looking out the bedroom window Tortuga can watch the early progress of another amazing day …

… starting with a simple waker-upper: hot cinnamon rolls and tea.

The morning sun illuminates the distant shore, and we are thankful – we’re down home again!
