Every day, twice an hour, the intrepid Columbia Princess departs for Inchelium. This is the Inchelium-Gifford ferry (called the GIF). The trip is short … the view stunning!!
The ferry route has been around since 1898 … and in 1981 the Columbia Princess was completed to take over the chore. Six (yes, 6) minutes of the wind in your hair and a breathtaking view both port and starboard! Aft too!!
Inchelium is part of the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation, a nation of twelve tribes who manage 1.4 million acres of territory. Come along as we travel through …
What a way to start a journey, I am very envious!
Unhurried, but very short. There are very few travelers on this trip as the little village of Inchelium is tiny! You’d love it!!
