Hidden away at Lands End … at the Cliff House in San Francisco … is this remnant from historical SF. It’s the Camera Obscura (from Latin, meaning “dark room”).
A simple display, with the entry fee of just a couple of dollars, it is not to be missed.
In the age of electronic wonders, fast-moving information filled flashes of eye-candy … this is perhaps one of the finest antidotes.
A short history of this “invention” is here at the Giant Camera site.
Pure fun. Simple wonder. Guaranteed smiles. No crowds.
Fascinating, thanks for the link.
Sometimes the simplest exhibits are the most memorable! Just simple fun … before relaxing on the beach to discuss the day!
