Tortuga posted this same thought back is 2013. Different times, different camper home … same lazy summer days.

The livin’ was easy. It was 1935 … the opera was “Porgy and Bess” … the composer was George Gershwin. Ella Fitzgerald re-recorded the song in 1950’s and 1980’s. With Louis Armstrong! Billie Holiday also recorded… as did Janis Joplin. Big names, all gone now.

Languorous. Lush. Listless. Lethargic. Wondrous words describing hot lazy days.

Today we slowly stroll downstream. There the river begins to hustle along. And that is a lesson: enjoy the lackadaisical time but be ready for the dynamic days ahead!

Celebrate the warmth. Summer passes too soon!
