It’s been a long and lazy summer … interspersed with frenzies of work (is frenzies a word?). Everyone camps in the summer, but with a little effort ya’all can minimize the crowds and laze the summer away. We started just before Memorial Day …

… at Fort Spokane, along the Lake Roosevelt NRA. This is where the Spokane River joins the mighty Columbia, an area full of trails, old buildings and many exhibits.

Every campsite is reserved for the holiday, and we’ll be long gone by then! Now is the time to relax and enjoy God’s creation, hike around and of course, eat.

The Columbia River has been a resource for people for many years … once a place of rich fisheries, and now a source of power for millions. Even though the area has changed radically, it remains a place of beauty and reflection. And a great place to camp and relax.

We’ve passed the summer in relative simplicity. We’ve got some pictures and places to share. Summertime has been a time of easy livin’. Come back and see some more tomorrow!
was just up camping along the mighty Columbia up north. so many great places to sit and relax.
