Winter’s Varied Hue

Winter Whispers by Catherine Pulsifer, Canadian poet, welcomes the season thus:
Winter whispers secrets to the hearts,
Each person listens in their own way,
Kids dance and laugh in the snow’s embrace,
While some seek warmth, hibernate and wait.

For others, winter’s chill is a friend,
A time for joy, for cocoa and play,
So let us honor each unique view,
And find harmony in winter’s varied hue.

Beautiful … especially on this December day! Traveling Tortuga enjoys seasons, relishing the fresh color contrast, the warmth of the sun just steps away from bone chilling shadows.

Every now and then the clouds and the sun play colorful tricks in the sky …

… while some of the trees hold tightly to their remaining color …

… leaving the once busy lakes looking earnestly for customers.

But evening comes quickly, and the nearby houses hunker down against the chill.

Morning will soon come … and a fresh baked scone along with a tasty hot London Fog. Nice.
