Balloons … fun for all ages!

At sunrise, balloon pilots and their crews arrive …

… and crowds gather …

… and setup begins. Flames erupt …

… and prep begins! Complex baskets are readied …

… and balloons are spread out! Oh, this is great fun!

Time for hot air … and a rise to the skies!

This is Prosser Washington, a little fruit and wine producing region in the Pacific Northwest.

It’s a cool and sunny day … light winds, warming up later in the day. Nice!

Soon the sky is filled. Ah, what a sight indeed!

Later in the evening a local steel drum band played (Trinidad style) while several balloon pilots demonstrated the propane powered baskets in a “candle light” burn.

Just good local fun.

Oh, just more thing. We can’t end a post without a favorite .. a delicious delight! And the sauce, well, use it as a dip, or drink it! Yum.
