Longside the mighty Columbia River lies the community of Brewster. And on a very hot summer day, a picnic down by the river sounds refreshing indeed. So we did.

But beware … there are bears in the trees!!

Bear cubs coming out of the branches … momma bear standing guard … looks like at least five of the monsters!!!

Gather up the sandwiches … get the blueberries …

Oh no … eagles too!

Maybe they’re more interested in the fish.

You’ve gotta watch out for these thing in the Pacific Northwest!!
