Yes, you’ve heard it before … no-one camps in the winter. Except us, of course. Campgrounds and camp sites are deserted – it’s like a private compound wherever you decide to stay!

Warm enough for hiking … mild enough for sitting outside …

This is at the Gifford National Recreation campground … 42 sites (all available this evening!) … with a boat launch to the north.

The ferry from Gifford to Inchelium runs every hour, and is priced right. It’s free. Of course, the drive on both sides of the lake is stunning … winding through hills and valleys, across streams and through villages!! Inchelium was relocated in the 1940’s when Grand Coulee Dam created Lake Roosevelt.
What a life!
Life is good! Liked your latest post about seasonal maintenance at http://mayyoursoulstir.com/2014/03/03/seasonal-maintenance/
Thank you!
yep, that’s the best time to camp. soon the campgrounds will be full and to find solitude we will have to venture to more remote areas if that is what we seek.
Or do as you’ve taught us … in the summer, go to the ski resorts (such as Schweitzer). Nice article about y’all at http://www.truckcampermagazine.com/camper-lifestyle/always-ready-to-go-truck-camping and your adventures!
thanks! it seems strange to have a story wrote about us.
