You may remember my visit down to Don n Deb’s place … where I (actually Don) made a beautiful cutting board for the camper. If you don’t, click here. That board is made of padouk, cherry and European beech-wood. Beautiful and functional it is! Well, summertime is a good time to go camping at DnD’s.
Don loves working with wood, and it shows. Talk about good lookin’ … locals are ordering his cutting boards for Christmas presents.

These are NOT inlays … they are wood strips that go through the board. These stripes are padouk, koa and purple heart … and this board was European beech-wood. Sizable too: 22 1/2 x 13 1/2 (1 1/8″ thick). Each one is different.
This one is maple. I took the following with my phone – not the best quality pics!

The picture above has a strip of walnut inside the purple-heart stripe … this is going to be amazing!! Check out the next one … four stripes!
