The weather is cooling down just a little, and the days are getting shorter. A warning that the sweet warmth of the summer sun and the lazy pace of the passing days is coming to an end. A reminder that our days are indeed numbered, and we should enjoy the goodness of each one. So hush, little baby … lets return to that uncrowded riverside campground we passed a while back.

And this spot, on the end, it perfect for inside or outside enjoyment!

Just enough time to walk around before nightfall. A soft cool breeze wafts over the water, and all is quiet. On the other end, at campsite number 1, another truck camper sits out with a fire, looking at his boat, ready for some early morning fishing.

Good night moon …

… and time to enjoy the warm summer sun.

It is really hard to concentrate … with all the people passing by.

And especially hard to think when this is all you can see.

Enjoy. Hush and enjoy. Don’t you cry … there is beauty all around us still.
Great looking views! This is somewhere in Washington?
It’s Snag Cove campground and boat launch on the Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area, a little north of Kettle Falls. Only 9 sites, but they’re rarely full. There’s a map here … http://www.nps.gov/laro/planyourvisit/upload/LAROmap1.pdf
Thanks! Looks like a beautiful park.
