Gotta love the big blue sky in the northwest.

In the Colville National Forest, hidden away, is Pierre Lake campground. It’s hot today, but the lake is inviting – already populated with a few splashing families, and kayaks heading off to some quiet picnic on the far shore (click on the picture to see ’em).

A perfect camping place for a family that wants some summer relaxation.

Toilets, boat launch, fire pits provided (and a fishing dock too) … bring your own water, power and pack out your garbage. Don’t tell anyone about this place!!
Rest … look at the sky … catch the breeze off the lake … oh, but be aware – this is bear country too!
we checked out that place briefly a couple weeks ago. we were doing some geocaching up there. we want to go maybe this fall up there and get the kayak out and explore that pretty lake.
