Winter in California is not the winter we northerners are used to. Oh it’s cooler alright … and people become sluggish and stay indoors a lot … but we’re heading back to the North Country.
Lake Shasta .. the water is a little low.Some of the shallows are dry …… and Mt. Shasta is still without her covering.Looks like you could just walk up to the top!
The western parts of North America are still stunning and open to enjoy.
Evening approaches … and this may be a great stopping place.Pavement camping is sometimes a wonderful thing!Yup … we’re in the West!
its been years since i have seen shasta lake with a lot of water. i wonder if i ever will see it full to near full again. maybe ive just been through there at the wrong time of year.

Seems like it only gets full in late spring or early summer. Enough to get the houseboats out!
