Summertime is rock crawling time … and Nampa is rock crawling country. The North Idaho 4×4 group attends something called “X-Rocks” … extreme rock crawling contests. Lets go … camp out, get up in the morning, and watch the mayhem.
It IS summer – it’s hot! The field we’re in is dry! There is no breeze. The earth is soft, and everything naturally sinks down a few inches. But that’s perfect for crawling over rocks.
Yup … we’re going to drive over collections of rocks that most of us wouldn’t walk over!
Just follow the instructions from the guy out front … and hopefully he knows what’s going on …
Push, pull and get ‘er back up. There are rocks to climb.

Very cool! This is my kind of fun! A little too extreme for my Jeep, but I’d still go to watch.
Every kind of 4×4 … from RC’s (and an RC course), and mildly built vehicles on 31’s to a huge all-wheel steer monster (it didn’t do so well – too heavy). Fun.
yep…I would not walk over those rocks either. sometime we have got to go and watch an event like that. it sure looks like a great time. thanks for sharing it with us.
You guys would love this … relaxing on the edge of the course with something cool to sip … Cody sending the RC’s around a track of his own. I’ll keep ya posted on the next one!
